Basic Cake Decorating
 
The perfect way to start to learn how to properly ice a cake with a smooth finish. You'll learn how to create icing drop flowers, rosettes, shells, pom pom flowers, leaves, shaggy mums, and the ribbon rose. You'll also decorate cookies, cupcakes..... and of course cakes!
*Materials required the first day of class

 
  Flowers & Cake Design

Learn to create icing flowers such as pansies, lilies and the Rose. Then, arrange them in abeautifully balanced cake-top bouquet framed by an impressive basketweave  You will also learn how to make flowers with gum paste and fondant-pansies and button flowers. Learn the reverse shell border, piped  apple blossoms, primrose, rosebuds, violets and daffodils with royal icing.

Fondant  & Gum Paste

Learn to create amazing hand-shaped flowers, beautiful borders and bold accents using these easy-to-shape icings.

As you learn each technique – an artful bow, mum, rose, carnation, calla lily, rosebud, daisy, and embellished borders – you’ll be closer to your crowning achievement: A Final Course Cake that showcases your skills.

The confidence you’ll gain as you decorate with gum paste and fondant will enable you to create cakes that will add excitement to your family celebrations for years to come

In this comprehensive course, Marina Sousa and James Rosselle will share with you their expertise and techniques for creating your own award winning creations. We will share with you our favorite cake designs and of course the master of all cakes, the wedding cake.

The Fondant & Gum Paste class will teach you how to use the most popular frosting-FONDANT used on all the cake shows and challenges. You will also learn how to make sugar flowers out of gum paste.

CLASS POLICY
Classes are limited in size in order to benefit the students' learning experience.
Upon registering for classes you are commiting to all sessions of the course. There are no makeup sessions. Students may cancel a class up to 5 days in advance of the start date for a full refund.  3 -4 day notice recieves a 20% cancellation fee. ABSOLUTELY NO CANCELLATIONS can be made with less than 3 days notice. You may send someone instead of  you to fill your spot at no extra charge.
